For families of 9th-grade students:

The GearUp office is asking for your help with filling out a family survey on paper or online.

The paper survey will be sent home with your student's report card or

you can complete the online survey with the family link.

In appreciation for the completion of your survey, we will enter you into a drawing for a $25 gift card at your student’s school. The drawing will take place once all GEAR UP families have completed their surveys.

Yancey County Schools Launches “Say Something” Anonymous Reporting System

On March 5, 2020, Yancey County Schools is officially launching the “Say Something” Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) for students, which most North Carolina public school districts will be adopting this year to meet the reporting guidelines and standards developed by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction and the Center for Safer Schools.
